An interesting take on the Hair V Pakistan fiasco and cricket in general.
Whilst the events that took place were undesirable it shows what a fascinating game cricket can be at times given the clashing personalities and cultures that emerge.

Yes it could....but Darrel Hair was under no obligation to give the Pakistanis a warning. He believed as did the other umpire BILLY DOCTROVE, who seems to have escaped this completely unscathed, that the Pakistanis had tampered with the ball and, therefore imposed a penalty that they was completely within their rights to do so under the laws of the game.Gossy wrote:Great article. Sums it all up very well. A little bit of time and thought, a warning could have prevented it all.
Inzamen and the Pakistani are the ones responsible for turning it into the fast it has become by cracking the shits and acting like spoilt 5 year olds who haven't got their own way. If that didn't agree with the penalty and thought they had been unfairly treated, they had an official grievance process they could have gone through starting with complaining to the match referee...they failed to do this a forfeited the game.
They decided they didn't like Darryl Hair's actions and figured they could count on the support of their fellow sub-contenient teams to get back at him and get him chucked out of the game.
Just what i was thinking... How the hell did he get out of it!?ealesy wrote:Yes it could....but Darrel Hair was under no obligation to give the Pakistanis a warning.
