In QLD it wont. The FFA have royally f***** up football in Australia. Having 3 teams in QLD was a joke and 4 in NSW so early on was a joke as well. All this before Melbourne got its second team.
It's a fair point, the GC and NQLD teams were a disaster waiting to happen. Didn't have an issue with Newcastle or Central Coast really. The second Melbourne team should have been in Geelong anyway.

NSW was fine to have 3 as Soccer if big in NSW and they have more participants than Melbourne.

But QLD??? Any wonder why FFA lost $5m last year.

Back in 2008 there was a shitfight over a Townsville license, now nobody wants to go within 1000kms of the joint.

Now with Melbourne Heart taking a big hit in the financial stakes and the Gold Coast existing for no other reason than the goodwill of their owner, the expansion clubs haven't really gone as planned. Tasmania, Wollongong and Canberra have been after a license for years, but it's downright essential that the FFA makes sure that it all adds up. I've said before that the FFA needs to make sure they cultivate that interest without rushing the expansion movement.

I think there's an elephant in the room that needs to be dealt with. Maybe, maybe South Melbourne should have got the second Melbourne license.

Sydney FC are after Brett Emerton according to the Sun today, Emerton is thinking about coming to Aus if Blackburn get relegated...

would be a big coup if they were to sign him up...

Celtic are coming back to Australia in July. This time they will pump Central Coast, Perth then the Victory.

I think they have made a big mistake having the Melbourne game at AAMI park.

About time the new season started... never known a sport to have such a long off season... Emerton (Syd) vs Kewell (Melb) on Sat, can't get much bigger than that!!!

Newcastle Jets win the first game of the season with a 3-2 victory over the Melbourne Heart- Mate Dugandzic with 2 for the Heart, Ryan Griffiths 2 and Hwan-Byun 1 for the Jets

Half time at its 0-0 between the Victory and Sydney FC... Emerton missing a penalty that would have put the Blues in front.

Don't think so Bert. We are still shit down back and I would be surprised if we kept a clean sheet without Leijer.

Good thing is that Harry moves into the midfield with Celnak and Rojas on the wings with Archie up front.

Just need to f*** of Brebnar or Broxham (preferably broxham), we can not have both in the starting XI

Brebner and Broxham are spuds of the highest order, last night proved it.

270 minutes and still no goal, what a pathetic rubble we are. Any chance the coach might have a game plan? I know this sounds like a Tiger supporter but this coach needs the sack already.

Yes it is, thankfully Ante Covic has come to the rescue. If we had that idiot Philapi (or however you spell it) we would be f*****.
