It's pretty rare to see smoke on a slide on a wet track!!!:shock: I thought Vermuelen was about to get the race handed to him.
The weather really put a dampener on the race I thought. The tyre tactics ruled the race in the end, which in itself isn't a bad thing.
At least Vermuelen had a chance to show his Laguna Seca pole wasn't just a flash in the pan. He chose well, and rode a smart race.
On the last corner I expected Rossi to slipstream into 3rd easily, but he just took the inside line and flew past whilst taking a leisurely look at Giberneau on the way thru. Rossi is damn good & Giberneau is his "bitch".
The Kentucky Kid should've done much better. Stoner was up there, but Pedrosa was obviously suffering from a combo of injury, tyres and conditions.
