.....On its own, this isn't a piece of news worth posting. But there's been a lot of hopeful speculation on BT discussion boards about these 2 Brisbane players possibly being a target for us in the trading period. Especially Rischitelli, who grew up an Essendon supporter, lived in Keilor etc, and some people (myself included) implicated him in the deal we might be doing with Aka.....

Well, news today (Sporting Life in The Age) that they both have recently signed 2 year deals with Brisbane.

D'oh.

Ah well. Either would have been very good. No surprise that Brisbane signed them up quickly.

I think we will offer a second round pick and possibly a player for aka. I wouldn't want to give up any of our first three picks in such a good draft.

Back to Henno and Bolton for Judd :)

been watching Sherman and the kids got some amazing talent, looks like the next Aka if you ask me.

We have to find our own versions of these players. In this day and age its almost impossible to lure a young kid from a club his just joined.

I think you will only ever see older guys looking to move on

Add Corrie, Drummond, Moody, Selwood, Hooper....

Lions have the best recruiting staff bar none. Their group of young guys are going to be very good. They will probably suffer a bit next year but as they come through, they will be a frightening prospect.

Add also to that what they get for Acker......
