7 Picks?

Post by Flip »

Just reading this:

"In other list moves, Elliott Kavanagh and Alex Browne were told they would not be offered new contracts.
Kavanagh was the 19th overall pick at the 2011 draft, while Browne was a third-round selection in 2010.
Both midfielders struggled for opportunities at senior level this season, managing just five and three games respectively, despite the club's onfield struggles.
Browne endured a difficult run with injuries and spent all of the 2014 season on the sidelines after undergoing a knee reconstruction.
Rookie Kurt Aylett and onballer Lauchlan Dalgleish were cut by the club in September, while Jake Carlisle, Jake Melksham and Jon Giles were traded, with Dustin Fletcher, Paul Chapman and Jason Winderlich all announcing their retirements at the end of the season."

So delisted 4, 3 traded, 3 Retired. 10 guys.

Smack, Leuy and Bird in. 3 Guys.

What is most you can on the Senior List? 40?

If so 7 picks or is it more if we have < 40?

In any event I can't recall the Bombers turning over the List by ~25%....ever.

Aylett was a rookie.

9 senior spots.

Leuey, Bird, Smack and surely McKenna.

Then either 5 picks in draft, or 4 plus a PSD.

That's if they don't cut more.

Don't you only need 38 and can fill the rest with rookies?

Sh!t....forgot about him and he is a cert but isn't he a International B Player....whatever the f**k that is.

Does it mean he just play on our list forever as that, or does he have to go the "normal" list eventually?

Why does the AFL make stuff so F****** complicated?

International rookies get a maximum of 4 years on the list as a rookie before they have to be promoted or delisted as opposed to the usual 3. All other rookie list rules apply.

He wouldn't be able to play ones unless he was upgraded, if he stays where he is.

I still believe that an injury free and fit Pears is a ready made replacement for Carlisle.

Agree. Needs a decent run at it. Like a mature age recruit now.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Something like that. You can leave one or two spots open and then upgrade a rookie or two without long term injuries.

I thought International Rookies were different in that they could play. Yes or NO.

McKernan already promoted to senior list on a 1 year contract.

I'm pretty certain McKenna will be promoted as well.
