I'm fine with picking him up as long as he doesn't cost us much and it's spelled out to him that we will not put up with any off field troubles.... Isn't that why he's getting the chop as opposed to lack of talent?

Do all these players actually want to go to these clubs (Melb and St Kilda) or do they simply say that because they are offering the best contract?

Two words ... SALARY CAP SPACE ... well actually that's three but you get the idea

Melb and Saints have lost their big priced players - so can pay overs as well as almost guaranteeing significant game time

Hawthorn - players who have lusted for a cup will go there (and Buddygone also frees salary cap)

us ... well Goddard, Jobe and Heppell aint cheap (and we paid overs for Hurley) ... not so much available in the kitty to sweeten deals.

Sad state of affairs when he picks Melbourne over us!!
We're screwed trying to get players this trade period... Hope this Irish bloke turns out to be decent and not another Quinn :shock:
