We have also spoke to Baulderstone from the SNAFL, the big unit who dropped 40 kegs last year in the hope of being drafted.

I imagine we will rookie another ruck.

I think it would be wise to keep at least two ruckmen behind Bellchambers, Giles and Daniher. Unless they bring in two new ones I'd keep Thurlow for at least another year.

While Daniher is still physically underdeveloped I would prefer we kept him out of the ruck altogether.

I really only mentioned him because if I didn't mention him some idiot would have said "you forgot Daniher".

I know all recruits are talked up, but it sounds like Giles will be given a good chance to be playing every week unless/until he sucks.

Fwiw, here's one person view of the order of the draught. It's clearly not an exact science doing thee selections but might be a decent discussion point.
Does anyone know anything of pics 12 and down?

AFL website wrote:ESSENDON
Pick 17: The Bombers hold pick No.17 and then No.20, so can address some areas on their list with early selections. Tom Lamb is a player who, at his best, offers a bit of everything. As a tall half-forward he has the endurance to play in the midfield, and can be moved across half-back to impact a game.
Around the mark: Connor Blakely, Jordan De Goey, Daniel McKenzie

NORTH MELBOURNE
Pick 16: ... the Roos have an eye on more pace. Jarrod Garlett could fit the bill, having enjoyed a terrific season in Western Australia. He was a standout for his state during the Under-18 championships and has shown he can run quickly, and has great endurance.
Around the mark: Jordan De Goey, Corey Ellis, Nakia Cockatoo

CARLTON
Pick 19: Carlton grabbed a couple of big men during the trade period in forwards Kristian Jaksch and Liam Jones, so might look for some pace in the draft. Connor Menadue, who ran 2.88 seconds in the 20m sprint, could be an option at this point of the draft having shown his break-neck speed, agility and run from half-back through the season.
Around the mark: Tom Lamb, Ed Vickers-Willis, Jarrod Garlett

Tagliabue and Tipungwuti are trainging with us. The Age mentioned this morning that Tagliabue could be brought in to "replace" Ryder. I imagine we'll rookie list him if available.

I would have liked us to give Petrenko a try out.

Whilst I don't agree with a lot of his posts, I don't think there's anything racist in his comment…I think on this one, he is just comparing players…
And let's face it, most of us have bagged Jetta at some point in time…
