Saints are surely having a lend with their current offer.

If Carlisle had any sense he would go to Hawthorn. He will be twice the player there under Clarksons coaching.
He could then write his own check after 3 years.(and probably have a flag to show for it).
With so many retirements coming up he could be one of their top earners by the next time negotiations roll around.

If they want to trade picks, fine, but Carlisle and 2 round 2 picks for 5 & 63 is wrong...

I wouldnt give up any of our top picks.

The hawks offer is good. GWS are open to apparently trading their first rounder for 2 dips in the second round.
so trade out carlisle for 15,18 then offload 23 and 25 for GWS pick(i think 8?)

That would give us 4.8,15,18 and Leunberger for the trade period. perfect platform for a rebuild.
or we get 5 for Carlisle. And its 4,5, 23, 25 and Leunberger both good options.

The only concession i would give to the aints is pick 43.
ie Carlisle and 43 for pick 5.

But regardless of trade I cannot see why on earth as a player you would pick StKilda over Hawthorn? I mean WTF? What sort of advise is Jake taking?
