Sier signed a 2 year extension a couple of weeks back. Collingwood were tossing up between Sier and Wills and settled on Sier and are hawking Wills around (along with Aish) so they can get the salary cap space to offer Grundy a 7 year big $ deal.

Apparently they settled on Sier over Wills because he has an outside game as well as an inside ... and they are resigned to Beams only being on the park for 14-15 games next year and Pendlebury is also starting to get harder to get 22 games from him.

Wills is a bit in between our Langford and McKernan (Collingwoood were thinking of using him as a pinch hit ruck like Grieg at Richmond).

My concern with Bonar is less about his legs, but more that he has butchered the ball when he played this year. Also, GWS would demand something big from us despite GWS shipping off two number 1 draft picks in successive years for future 4th round picks from the Hawks. f***heads.

Allegedly, the Bonar stumbling block is that GWS want us to pay his salary - around $400K.
Amazing, as you say - they give away players on one hand (although Hawks paying some of Patton's salary?? - not sure on that), but then want a 2nd round pick PLUS us to pay the salary on the other hand.

Gna watch him carefully throughout the year (if he gets a run) and see exactly what we missed for $400,000 or whatever. There's alsways next year...
