2021 AFL Draft
We have pickles 11, 48, 54
Will be interesting to see who we pick with 11 and what maybe still available in 3rd round.
I’m inclined to hope we get Josh Goater (Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo), but am open to Jye Amiss coming onboard.
I doubt Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera will be available at 11, but you never know.
Then there is Matthew Johnson. Sounds like a real pepper grinder!
Jason van Rooyen could be a good get (forward or back) later in the draft.
Can’t wait!

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera should not be selected as it contravenes our "only one player on the list who has a hyphened name" rule

Are we allowed to have two JYE'S
Where did that name come from anyway?

Time to pick up some good strong cattle. If I see 190 tall and 74kg, no matter where they go, I'll scream!

Re: 2021 AFL Draft
There is a possibility that we’ll select (if available at 11) Mac Andrew. Similar physique and talent to Nik Cox. It’s the sort of prototype we’re going for of late.
Not sure of his highlights reel but I have heard a few things about his skitting style and mazza type play. Could be anything.
Re: 2021 AFL Draft
Yes, Andrew is some class but will probably go to Gold Coast at pick 5 I'd say. Won't be disappointed if we get him.Windy Hille wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 1:07 amThere is a possibility that we’ll select (if available at 11) Mac Andrew. Similar physique and talent to Nik Cox. Re: 2021 AFL Draft
You got your wish there Rover, young Hobbsy looks like a young bull.
Height 183cm
Weight 79kg
In a draft full of players dividing opinion among club recruiters, the majority are sold when it comes to Hobbs. A growing list of them rate the brave accumulator as the best pure inside midfielder in the pool." – Callum Twomey.
Re: 2021 AFL Draft
He'd better be good. He's lighter than me and I wouldn't look good in an Essendon guernsey!! Already got the nickname "Hobbit." Oh well, can we turn him into a small, mongrel fwd? He definitely has got some muscles.desmondo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 7:42 pmYou got your wish there Rover, young Hobbsy looks like a young bull.

Brave little Hobbit called Frodo, who with lifelong friend Samwise went to the Hell of Mordor and conquered All comers to Destroy The Ring!
Welcome Young,Brave Man!

The Man with Potentially a lot of Nicknames.
If he has the nature of Ashley Mallet,we can call him Rowdy!
And if old friends annoy him on the field,he can acquire a Toff Oxford Accent and politely ask Mr Umpire to tell old Mr Friend to “f****** Well Shut Up!”

Can we please get rid of this bullshit and had the draft done on one day, not two?

Re: 2021 AFL Draft
Wow, happy with the selections.
Ben Hobbs. Love his credentials and his attitude. He’s going to give us 110%. Very impressed with his interview and his highlights.
Alastair Lord. Looks like a real dasher. Saad / Hind like - elusive and quick.
Garrett McDonagh. If what is said about his kicking is true, then we’ve got a real weapon here. Looking forward to seeing him in action!
Welcome chaps!

Re: 2021 AFL Draft
What’s with trying to turn backmen into forwards and forwards into backwards? Can’t they bloody well select players to play to their strengths?
I dunno… perhaps I’m perplexed by it all, but I guess the Laverde swap has paid dividends, and to a lesser extent, James Stewart.
