Coach said no broken jaw.
Concussion protocol.
Lucky I guess. 1 week off instead of 6-8.

Reid.
Did his hammy just before half time in the VFL. Had scans today.
Can't wait to see what the Club say about it (if they even mention it).
Probably will say they think it's only minor, might be a chance to play this week. Then say nothing more until next week when they announce it's a grade 3 tear and return date indefinite.

Shocking run this kid has had. Have to wonder whether it is him or the club, we have a poor track record when it comes to soft tissue injuries.

6 week hamstring for Reid.

Jones back injury is stress related with no timeline for a return...

:( :( :(

This is tragic. How on earth are these guys supposed to develop when they simply can’t get on the field.

I genuinely fear for their careers. Especially when stress fractures of the back are concerned.

Midseason draft is 31 May

I am sure we can wrangle a second player onto the list

Stewart should be out for the season and excuse me if I an wrong, didn't Wright have a 9 week duration when he first made the list... almost 9 weeks ago?

Earliest reports about Wright that I can find were "TBC" - until Round 4.
On April 4th the club said he was 14-16 weeks away https://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/1299 ... rs-setback

I'm finding it hard to think of a reason to use the mid season draft.
It's 3 weeks away, and any draftee will take a couple of weeks to be ready for AFL service (assuming they're capable at all), and we should have Ridley, Laverde and Reid all back by then.
Although, if there was a genuine Key Forward available I might be interested.

The Hangar Hospital is busy as another casualty enters the intensive care ward.

Parish with a calf injury.

Will be fitted with a prosthetic in the coming weeks…

Oh joy!
Kelly out too - delayed concussion from game against Port Adelaide.
So I guess that means he's out next week too.

The Ground at Tullamarine is way too Hard.
So much Unnecessary stress on the Body.
Needs to be Done Properly.
When Will Our Club Open Their eyes to this Fact?

Gee,that sounds SOooooooo Familiar.Like with le wc again as my example.Lathlain Park’s surface has been blamed, not for the first time for all their soft tissue injuries.Problem is,they have their own doing the grounds keeping,as opposed to the Long time resident!

He went off with a foot / ankle injury. He did come back on, but haven’t heard anything since.

Won’t surprise me if he’s fkd for a few weeks.
