Fkng Same Olds.

A f****** club that thinks there’s only 15 rounds in a season.

The Arizona trip has worked wonders.

No Tex Walker. No Rankine. They had an average of 76 games experience out there compared to our 118.

Draper the drop kick misses from point blank. I said that miss will cost us. It did. The karma bus came thundering in as Draper got away with a free kick against that buried Adelaide earlier in the season. So he hands them the game tonight. FMD.

This f****** club will most likely miss the 8.

Well that was all just spaghetti and meatballs. A bowl of mess. In saying that, play looked upset and luck chanced. Need better cohesion and execution. Similar to previous weeks of dominant patches wasted with link lapping turnovers which hurt on rebound.

Defensive cracks appeared under pressure and panic kicks and handballs were swooped and hammered hard. Looked a bit like a “drop the bundle” sort of vibe as some just dropped their heads and slunked their shoulders. A bad look.

A shout out to the Shower Caddy who did some really good stuff in front of the sticks. But he also needs some kicking / goal kicking coaching into the future. Great pair of hands though. Moves like a champignon at times, that’s for sure.

Need Pazza back.

Crust but no toppings. A big turn made but ultimately straight down the gurgler.

I suppose Brack Scott lamented after the game with opportunities lost [-(

There were about a dozen big and small errors that cost us.

The selection of Menzie over Hind. Hind would have provided some spark off the half back and freed up Martin to swing forward if needed. Also Menzie had 13 disposals at 38% efficiency. In other words, he had 5 effective disposals. And zero tackles.

Guelfi had 6 disposals and 3 tackles. Yes he had a decent bump in Q1, but after that virtually nothing.

Goldy had 5 disposals - all handballs. Yes he had 29 tapouts, but virtually none of them were to our advantage. Indeed, the crows seemed to get easy clearances with him in the center. He started the year good, but he is seriously cooked. If we must play 2 rucks, play Bryan.

Midfield defense - got lost again. Perhaps we should ask Santa for some to be put under the Xmas tree. Embarrassing. Usual suspects didn't chase.

McKay and Kelly with shithouse handball turnovers in the back 50 that were converted straight to goals. Some other really bad handball clangers.

Redlight strategy - we were 10 points up with less than 5 minutes to go and in control of the ball. Instead of a couple of minutes of chip kicking to take time off the clock and ice the game, we go for another goal and turn it over.

Kicking for goal in the last quarter. Draper trying to kick the pill out of the park from the top of the square ... and missing, and Caddy and Langford both shanking it and missing everything.

And right at the end ... why Merrett didn't take another bounce and put it through (instead of chipping to Martin) and why Stringer didn't take a shot from 50 out instead of trying for Caddy to take a contested mark ... missed opportunities.

AAaaaarrrrrggggg!!!!

Also not helpful - getting 6 goals down - it takes a lot of energy to claw that back and as soon as we got our nose back in front in the 3rd quarter - the foot came off the accelerator and we let the Crows back in. The between the ears attitude of "just being in front is good enough" ... just has to go.

Finally - losing Caldwell in the last seemed to blunt our drive.

What is disturbing about yesterday's loss is the fact that 14 (fourteen) of the team are over the age of 26... and only one player (Caddy) is in their first year... none are in their 2nd year and two (Martin and Menzie) are in their 3rd year at AFL level.

Only one player (Caddy) actually made his debut this year.

It is not a development team. It is a very mature team. It is a shit mature team.

Scott did this at Norf - he played the oldies and neglected the youngsters.

Seems history is repeating.

Still seething today. All three of these things piss me off big time. Not sure which one is worst.

(1) Allowing them to kick eight goals in a row against us in the second quarter (especially given no Tex, no Rankin and them sitting 14th on the ladder!!)

(2) Getting our noses in front, only to take the foot off the accelerator and let them back in again (why do we do this SO often?!)

(3) Missing not one but three easy shots on goal in the last quarter, then shitting the bed and allowing them back in to steal it.

Although I don't really want to see a repeat of last year, when the wheels fell completely off in the final rounds, but then again maybe that is preferable to limping into the finals and then getting absolutely belted in the elimination final (a scenario that has played out WAY too many times in recent years).

Not happy Jan.

A Side effect of our Shodk, was the effect it had on the Crows' Reserves the day after. It would have emboldened them to have a crack against a North Adelaide outfit, fully expecting to Win and go back in the Top 5 of the SANFL.

Crows thumped the Overconfident Roosters by over 6 goals at their dunghill!

Oh well,at least Westies had a good Win against dare I say an equally cocky Merged entity!Well Done Bloods!!!!

Versus Adelaide R7

- Nic Martin streams towards the 50m arc and slots a goal to put us in front (which ends up being the winning goal)

- Josh Rachele had a chance to win the game for Adelaide in the dying minutes but dropped an easy mark

- Sam Draper should have been penalised for HTB but wasn’t… costing Adelaide the game

- Sam Draper mocks the decision after the siren

Versus Adelaide R19

- Josh Rachele snaps a goal to put Adelaide in front with a minute to go

- Nic Martin had a chance to put Essendon in front with a snap, but doesn’t make the distance

Sam Draper misses a goal from 15 metres out early in the last quarter
