Wow, what a f****** game!

Down by 41 points at some stage in the 2nd quarter and looking absolutely pathetic.

That 3rd quarter today was something else!

Saad El-Hawli was unreal. Was absolutely everywhere and kicked 3 goals on that 3rd Q. Nick Bryan, Jayden Davey, and Nate Caddy were fantastic.

The last quarter was top quality. El-Hawli injured his bloody ankle landing after taking a great mark in the F50. Would have kicked his 5th if not for the injury. Hope it ain’t too bad. He was brilliant today.

Nate Caddy kicked a ripping goal on the run, and Wangers ended up kicking the winning goal - very much like in the mould of his old man!

Fantastic win vingertje

How is Lual tracking Benny?

Heard he is a bit of a project player but he seems to be in the most disposals every week.

He has a real crack.

But has a long way to go IMO.

Might be worth considering Setters and Dyls this week. Nicko Bryza is top form by the looks

I'd drop Draper for Bryan. Draper was supposed to be our mobile ruck who did stuff around the ground. Today not a single one of his 9 disposals was effective. He has been crap since the Adelaide match.

Rumor is Shiel is seeking a new club. Adelaide is a strong rumor. We would give him up for steak knives

Time to be honest about the seniors and build for the future. We are not one top up player away from a Grand Final. Bryan and Tsatas must be played.

Bryan has to be played. He also played in wet conditions today and totally dominated. But I'd drop Goldstein before Draper.
And Shiel should be playing too. He's been quite good the last few weeks.

I agree. Goldy won't be there in 2 years time. The way things are going, neither will Bryan.

Goldy shouldn't even be there next year. He has a one year deal.
We're two thirds through the season and Bryan has played ONLY ONE AFL game.
At the end of this year we'll have Draper and (VFL Ruck) Bryan - exactly like we had at the end of last year.
What have we gained? What the hell was the point of getting Goldy?
We could have been getting games into Bryan this year, but instead that will have to wait until 2025 (if ever).
Scott said he wouldn't be giving sugar hits at the expense of the long term, but gee wizz it smacks of trying to bolster us with experience now even if it costs us longer term development.

Both Goldy and Heppell are seeking extensions.

Hard to deny them given they have been selected in best 22 all year ... but their drop off will be worse than Biden's when it happens.

I remember when Simon Madden went on one year too many. 1991 he played 23 games, polled Brownlow votes in 4 games and averaged nearly 20 Hit outs a game. In 1992 he played 7 games and averaged 4 hitouts a game. A sad ending.

There's pretty clear evidence that Goldy's 2024 is in decline from 2023 too.
Possibly no better evidence than him being monstered by his North understudy, Xerri.
What we don't know is - who is pushing harder for his 2025 extension - Brad Scott or Goldy??

Well, now Goldy is out "managed" again. Twice since the Bye. He's played once in 5 weeks.
He's either injured, or he's omitted. Why the heck is he immune from being named as omitted???
But anyways...if he's not playing AFL, why can't he run around in the VFL and give some mentoring to Nick Bryan?
Remember? Everyone said we got him to mentor Draper & Bryan. Well, here's his chance. But nope!!

Agree in essence. Goldy has been good, but he also has borne a heavy load for us. I think Bryza should be more trusted, and given more exposure at senior luevel. Reward for effort must be paid!
