Draper - In trouble again!

Post by s'dreams »

Our enfant terrible ruckman has got himself in trouble again... and earned himself an admonishment from the club.

It seems he made comments about Luke Beverage ... on a podcast "Clubby Sports 200+".

Draper stated that if Beverage remained at the Dogs next year, he understood that a number of players would seek to be traded out. He then said that Bailey Smith would definitely be leaving the kennel.

Not surprisingly, the Dogs were upset and Draper was carpeted by our admin (no doubt wet lettuce leaves were involved). The club has apologised to the Dogs and the offending parts have been removed from the podcast... 5 days after they were posted.

I had thought that Draper combined the worst parts of John Barnes and Dustin Fletcher ... but I was wrong.

He is fast becoming the new Sam Newman ...without the political views.

Many fans speculating he's not playing this week as punishment - rather than the alleged injury.
But apparently he was seen after last week with a bandage on his knee, and he hasn't trained this week.
On clever wag suggested they ought to have put a bandage over his mouth too!! :D

Is he actually ok?

Bit concerned about this fella. Last year a chap in the stands said Drapes was sesame snaps. Carries on a bit. Whether he knows more inside, I have no idea. But seemed to know or suggest that Draper lets himself go a bit and tunes in and out.

He’s having a weird season it must be said…

Punishment is a very '70's way to operate.

I was wondering if he was due for a groin "management" rest anyhow. Knee soreness wouldn't be unusual for a ruckman, maybe some pcl discomfort?

Learning to manage ego is important for some young blokes living the dream.

Brad Scott yesterday on SEN stated that he is in no rush to bring Draper back in... as Goldy can handle the load.

He also said that he is keen to run two rucks "when available".

I wonder if Bryan was ever told about this...

Beginning to think Brad's words are fluff, given his actions usually counter them.
