No change for mine.

Why the f*** punish Heppell, Tsatas, Cox, Hind, El-Hawli and Setterfield by putting them in with the rest of the chicken hearted dipsticks you aren't dropping?

As is widely reported, Scott today confirmed that Heppell will be given a farewell game in Brisbane.

And nobody is being given an early rest to go under the knife - so likely that Langford will play injured.

So they are playing Langford injured.

Dumb. What is to be gained at this point of the season?

Weiderman injured?

I didn't realize that embarrassment and being totally shit were now considered injuries.

Only at Essendon.

No doubt our illuminating record with farewell games will be demonstrated again.

Hepps will probably thinking “beware of what you wish for” as the Essington way is to honour its champions by going home at half time.

No one can question this blokes dedication or loyalty and the least we can do is give him a good send off.

I think the last victory at a send off game for a club champion was Barry Davis, but I may be wrong.

V Collingwood in '72?

Did we know he was going to North?

Ken Fletcher R22, 1980?

And to add to that… it would have been Barry Davis’ farewell as coach as well :P

Not a blowout, but not great.

A really damning stat...

Heppell had 34 possessions at 86% efficiency. The most in a game since 2020.

Only Merrett had more (37 possies at 75%).

Guelfi was an inspired selection. Seriously, WTF?

Well done again Archie Roberts. Certainly has a red hot dip!

Well that was the season that was as they say. All the way up in the top 8 for most of the season and end up in 11th place. At least we didn’t finish off what th a couple of thrashings.

That said, mmany good things happened along the way. The Caddy boy will be a spark up forward for many years. Arch Roberts looks the goods. ET will hopefully hit his straps next season, and Nicko Bryza will be better for the consecutive games he played at the end of this season.

Farewell Hepp! Champion player and champion bloke. Deserved so much more than what the club fished up throughout his career.

With a real sense of dread I watched Brad's post-game presser tonight.
I wasn't disappointed, because it was, indeed....dreadful.
I had almost promised myself, even before watching it, that I'd never watch one again. But, footy being what it is, I'm ever hopeful. So most likely I'll watch his presser after Round One 2025 anyway.
But..... if it sounds like tonight's (which sounded like every other week) again, then I'm done.

It was in essence a bit of an “ah well” it was a season done scenario and it’s difficult to get players motivated even though they wanted to send off Dyso on a good note.

He did repeat many previous cliches and was philosophically suggesting we need to add some croutons to the soup. Though he laments but optimistically confident in possibilities that nothing is too far away in some way. Less said best is a motto he should keep.

He is running out of paraphrases though. He’ll need to dig deep for new ones next year if results are not significantly improved.

If Results are Not up to Scratch next year,........

Goodbye Coach
