Poor Reynolds; were it not for Rioli, he would've been the one getting chaired off the ground last week. I dare say that this selection brings down the curtain on his illustrious career.

The Essendon team is:
B: M Johnson, McVeigh, Solomon
HB: Lovett-Murray, Bradley, McPhee
C: Cole, Watson, Peverill
HF: Monfries, Lucas, J Johnson
F: Lee, Johns, Hird
R: Hille, Stanton, Dyson
Bench: Cartledge, Heffernan, Dempsey, Bolton

Ins: Lee, J Johnson
Outs: Reynolds (omitted), Rioli (retired)

McVeigh to line up on Johnson? It's a rare day to see Macca at FB.

Thats the end for Reynolds. Cartledge, cole probably on their last chance. Good to see Lee in. Too bad Lonergan missed out.

he will be too strong for him... Lee will take him

i like the ins and outs

as for Deano, thanks for the glimpses - its a pitty it ended this way
as for Joel, maybe if things went your way earlier in your career it could have been different, top 5 in bendigos b&f next year - or we will see you at carlton

Considering McVeigh kept Brad Johnson to 3 touches last time I dare say we might start McVeigh there again.

I dare say for that reason we wont. We will let BJ tear us apart, so we keep the pick. Seems to be what we did last week, move someone when playing well

Glad to see Lee get a jumper again, that kids shown some potential and I wouldn't have minded seeing him in one or two more games.

WOO! Awesome to see Lee back in.

McVeigh killed Johnson last time, why change now?

If Grant starts down forward, I want to see Lee on him. Think he would be a good matchup. Always good to play on the stars also, except when you get 9 goals kicked against you...;)

I agree, especially if we want to try to blood Lee as a future FB or CHB.

Lee should've been in last week. At least it gives poor Bradley some chance of a rest from the perpetual onslaught.

Two of the first three of Richo's goals were gimmes from the umpire...a relayed 50 against Rioli, and the juggling non mark that Kepler had the 50 paid against him. Once Richo gets confidence he's a hard one to beat. The ump's gave that to him early. Bradley played OK around the ground, but got a lesson in the one-on-one's unfortunately.

Lee gives another option. Grant is a great player and has beaten us from his own foot previously, so Lee will have his job cut out for him also.
