Well, what’s the deal?

Hasn’t been selected. Does he come under Category A rookishness?

I’m starting to wish Perth grabbed his services, given our track record in recruiting New Ruckmen.

This is more a reflection on my Club than poor old Christian Eyres, but you guys should ask Zac how easy he had things, when he played against the Red and Black back home.

He killed us every time.

Yes - but stood up in the second half. Please don't let him kick for goal.

Sure I'll get canned for this, but...
I don't accept/tolerate the "rusty" excuse.
It's not like he hasn't played at all for 2 years.
He was selected because of supposed form. Form worthy of AFL standard. Can't say I saw much of that.
If he'd been in the side for the last 3 weeks I wouldn't accept tonight's performance, and I don't see why I should accept it just because he wasn't in the team until tonight. Sub-par is sub-par.
If we want a tall player there purely as a decoy or just to run the opposition ruck around, then may as well use a promising youngster (Draper) instead.

McKernans hamstring probably guarantees Clarke a few more games in the near future. Not deserved imo, but that's how injuries can influence selection of course.
The BL's big O probably means we need a second ruck. I wonder if Draper is in the mix :?: You'd think he's a chance if he dominants in the vfl this weekend :?:

I think Clarke will be better for the run...he would have to be. What I did notice was his mobility compared to Tommy...that could be a bonus for us if he finds the form he showed in the WAFL

Looked all at sea to be honest. But give him a few games to settle in.

I agree with this. It was not a good game from Zac,but we won. Injuries will give him more games to show why he was picked up...

1 game with us is hardly a resume...
