Can't see Hurley or Heppell winning another.
Jobe with 6 is something special.

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
If 3, 2, 1 is the way to go, then can we get some consensus on the weekly voting to assure that everyone is on the same page. Personally I prefer to 5 vote over the 3 vote?
But either way is fine I guess

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
I agree that there should be uniformity within the voting threads. This mix of voting makes it difficult to tally the top 3 vote getters per round.Windy_Hill wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 4:53 pm If 3, 2, 1 is the way to go, then can we get some consensus on the weekly voting to assure that everyone is on the same page. 3.2.1 is too narrow a field in my book. 5.4.3.2.1 is better.
I think the majority of voters do 5.4.3.2.1 (judging from all the threads I’ve recently tallied over the years).

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
When we play shit, and that is often enough, I often find it too hard to find a 4th and 5th vote (mind you sometimes its hard to find the 3rd)
So I tend to go 5 when we win and 3 when we play shit enough for me to threaten my keyboard with damage

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
Same.
Maybe having to do 5 will encourage us to look for some extra positives in losing matches.
Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
I get it, when we have horrendous results, it is difficult to award anything other than derision. I still find it in me to allocate votes to 5 of the 22 imposters.
Only allocating votes to 3 players out of 22 seems very narrow.

Be discerning.
Selecting 5 is like your bride choosing 5 bridesmaids because she doesn't want to leave anyone out!
3,2,1 for me.

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
3,2,1 is how every b&f I've ever been involved with was done.
But as we've noted it's been used because there is people that use it and converting those into 5,4,3 doesn't make sense.

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
How about this compromise
Stick with 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The voter however has to cast Votes for at least the best three players who in turn receive 5, 4 & 3 votes respectively. This makes it easier to vote when we are shit.

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
Even most of the players above, wouldn’t be fit to Carry the bags of players in the Shitfull 70’s!
Even Blethyn’s Horse(circa ‘72),would give ‘em a lickin’!

Re: Bombertalk Player of the Year Honour Board
Doesn’t really matter which one we select, as long as everyone who participates does exactly that.
Perhaps we should put up a voting option for voting threads going forward.
Not sure what we do with this year as we have a mix of voting patterns again...
