Hope he makes the Tour to England next year.
If our batting goes to Shit, which I fear it will,he might be the Hardhead needed to hold things together.
Renshaw 200* and Handscomb 281* putting their hands up as reserve batsmen…
I thought it was the sensible thing to do. Get a 150 run lead and hope to run through their line up. They got halfway there. Declaring behind relies on your opposition captain to be “generous”. I say f*** that. Get ahead of the game and put them under pressure. Doing it that way prepares you better for Test cricket in my view. Games like this one do The Sheffield Shield more harm than gone and encourage those scheming Bastards at Cricket Australia to use any excuse they can,to reduce the Competition to 5 Games per Season.
NOT GOOD!
That’s fine.So long as you’re prepared to do that in front of Empty Stadiums. There’s playing for advantage and going through the motions, which to be honest I thought this game had become.BenDoolan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 10:52 amI thought it was the sensible thing to do. Much better chance of getting a result the way Handscomb played it. They weren’t going through the motions. Going through the motions would have seen him bat on for a triple century and give themselves zero chance of a result at all.grassy1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 11:23 amThat’s fine.So long as you’re prepared to do that in front of Empty Stadiums. There’s playing for advantage and going through the motions, which to be honest I thought this game had become.BenDoolan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 10:52 amI thought it was the sensible thing to do. I’d rather risk the Loss playing attacking Cricket even on a Road, rather than going the grind in the hope the opponent might crack.
