Re: Australian Women Cricket 2023
Nice work, though I dare say our Irish friends are still learning the Craft on the International stage.
Small victories for them, like good individual innings of bowling.Orla Prendergast and Georgina Dempsey may have the potential to form the backbone of the Irish Team for the next 10 years!

1st T20i
WI-W 3/147 off 20 overs (Hayley Matthews 99*) defeated by AUS-W 2/149 off 13.2 overs (Tahlia McGrath 60*, Alyssa Healy 56)
Well played Hayley Matthews but the agony for one more run
Tahlia McGrath loves T20i. Her batting average in this mode is extraordinary

AUS-W 6/212 off 20 overs (Ellyse Perry 70, Phoebe Litchfield 52*, Georgia Wareham 32*, Beth Mooney 29, Hayley Matthews 3-36, Shamilia Connell 2-35) defeated by WI-W 3/213 off 19.5 overs (Hayley Matthews 132, Stafanie Taylor 59, Megan Schutt 2-30)
I just witnessed one of the best international hundreds ever. Hayley Matthews take a bow. That was absolutely sensational. She just caned every bowler In true cavalier West Indian style. Beautiful to watch. Took 3 wickets as well. What a bloody sensational performance

She is.But the problem for The West Indies is,when batting,when she goes,they go and that’s the ball game.Something for them to work on,before the next 20/20 World Cup.BenDoolan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2023 11:24 pm 3rd T20i

Yep, there’s not much beyond her.
She has now won 8 player of the match awards in a row - win or lose.
Amazing.

8?
Amazing!
I’d be curious as to how much they add up to,….

I reckon they’re cooked.
Unless Ash Gardener can do something extraordinary with both bat and ball from here on in… they’re going to lose.
