Gee the delivery into our forward 50 is crap.

Over the head or at the feet of players. Or just punching it into the forward 50.

We are playing like we are the Harlem Globetrotters against the Washington Generals with trick shots.

Needs to be better

Happened 4 times so far this game.

Hasn't hurt so far, but is troublesome.
It's our Mantra unfortunately..

The term "Downhill Skier" comes to mind.

Happy to run to receive and look good but shocking accountability going the other way... from half through 1st to half way through 2nd we looked like a Bottom 4 side

And have not really looked like scoring. Forward entries terrible and when it hits the ground it always goes to one or even three of their players.

We are winning every stat except clangers, hitouts (they have 1 more) and goals.

Breaking down at half forward.

Their small forwards are great. We apparently don't have a small forward.

Absolutely horrible. If we play like that next week Carlscum will beat us by 100 points.

TBH.. That was coming. Been up since early April and we tend to get Vertigo when we are up so High on a Ladder. And the last 2 games haven't been our best, since we beat the Giants a bit of complacency has set in..

Also think a few out there today struggling at AFL level.

Three areas were appalling.

1. Delivery into the forward 50 was among the worst in the past 20 years. Shithouse. Most of the shots for goal were out wide with many 25-40 out on the boundary.
2. The goalkicking itself was appalling. How the f*** do you kick it into the post 8m out with no pressure?
3. Their small forwards carved us up. Long for f***'s sake is a small back and he kicked 4 goals. Throw in Berry and Humphry and they kicked over half our score between them.

We need Parish back. Even when we were first to the ball at ruck competitions, half the time we turned it over with an errant handball to their mids. Parish really straightens us up there.

This could be a loss that costs us top 4 at the end of the season.
Four more scoring shots for an 11 point loss. Shitfull.

Gotta be at our best next week, or we’re gonna be nuked.

Smarten up fellas.

Yes, this clutzy riddled performance can harm our eventual thrust to finals positioning and chances.

It seemed like there was confusion in parts of our game, particular in the forward part of the ground. Leading patterns, tandem movement, and link lapping was out of kilter, if not, crinkled. I’d say it explains the poor kick for goal .

Need to sharpen up next week that’s for sure. Cleaner, greener and supremer efficiency required.

Back to the pepper grinder!

I hate this tactic every week. Especially around the middle of the ground. I fail to understand what it gains.

It's a tired trope, but it's true for today's game.....the opposition worked harder.
Most commentary blames our goal-kicking accuracy. And sure, if we kicked straighter it might have made the difference.
But overall, we lost because:
- we conceded easy goals where the Suns had players free inside 50, or they were able to deliver the ball to leading targets.
- on every occassion (except one) that we went inside 50 it was to a contest.
To me, that simply means the Suns worked harder to make space, and to close down space. That's effort based.
And our innacuracy was mostly because we were forced wide inside 50.
Fans blaming poor kicking are kidding themselves.

More inside 50s and better efficiency inside 50 says otherwise.

Inaccuracy cost us.

Efficiency measured how often we scored from Inside 50's. Yes we scored, but from poor places - resulting in Behinds.
I'm saying the difference was about the the "good looks" at the goals. Change that and they wouldn't have kicked as many goals, and we might have kicked more, and either way we would have won.

On just about every measure, we were even or slightly better. So the effort was there.

Maybe the “leading patterns” and other weird metrics they use these days were a bit off, I don’t know. But 11.14 is wasteful.
