2022 AFL Draft
So we have picks 4, 22, 54, 62, 68, 72
What are people’s thoughts?
Wardlaw, Cadman, Sheezel, Tsatas, Humphrey or Lemmey at pick #4?
I don’t know where Davey Jr fits into this equation. Or Munkara for that matter.
Djapana!

Re: 2022 AFL Draft
The club made sure that we have enough points to match a first round bid for the better Davey
Buggered if I know how that all works

Re: 2022 AFL Draft
Good Luck to The Club for the Draft!
But tell me about it after The World Cup.
Which is Exactly what AWFULL Don’t want us paying attention to(whilst doing so themselves, probably there)!

Re: 2022 AFL Draft
GWS likely to take Cadman so could be any of the rest for us.
Re: 2022 AFL Draft
Going over 2 Days in the 2nd Week of this Year’s FIFA WORLD CUP!
November 28 and 29.
Add the Rookie Draft on the 30th.Right when the Group Phases of the World are being finalised with teams’ 3rd and Final Game.
Gee,those Final Year Exams just finish later and later these days, don’t they?
Well then,I’ll be reading about it then.
The Fixtures are usually released by the last Weekend in October.Let me Guess,Monday November 21st?Or even Sunday the 20th?Extraordinary coincidence!
Oh Yeah, there’s also the AFLW Preliminaries and Grand Final are November 20 - 27.Fancy that!

What do you mean?
Don’t understand why fans would have egg on their face.

Simple. So many fans wetting themselves over how good the twins are.Windy Hille wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 11:19 pmWhat do you mean?

If they don't live up to that hype, those fans will be wearing egg.

If F/S selection wasn't a thing, where would they be expected to be taken?

Fans don’t “set the hype”, they react to it. They’ll only getting excited by what they read or hear about them.
Eggs should be thrown at those who declare them “exciting prospects” etc, not those who salivate at the sound of it.

Re: 2022 AFL Draft
George Wardlaw says he’d love to play for the Bombers. Has met with Dodoro and done an extensive interview.
Can’t see it happening though. North in the box.

https://central.rookieme.com/afl/2022/1 ... -essendon/
FIRST PICK OPTIONS:
It seems Essendon is into a range of powerful, dynamic midfielders with regards to pick four, hoping to add a point of difference to its current on-ball brigade. Pending what North Melbourne does with picks two and three, the Bombers could have a tough decision to make if George Wardlaw or Harry Sheezel are still on the board.
The more likely scenario is they aren’t, and that Elijah Tsatas is. The Oakleigh Chargers speedster is a good size and can play both sides of midfield, but recent chatter suggests the Bombers could lock in South Australian Mattaes Phillipou. At 190cm, his athleticism and ability to shift forward loom as promising assets in the top 10.
Re: 2022 AFL Draft
I reckon Wardlaw wont be there, Tsatas will be a good footballer, but I reckon we`ll go with Phillipou, mainly cause of the 190cm height (4 cm more than Tsa) and 10 extra kg he has to offer over Tsatas. Could be 'anything' is the quote being used about him. I reckon he could be a 'beast'.F111 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 3:43 pm https://central.rookieme.com/afl/2022/1 ... -essendon/

Interested who we take with pick 2?
Also reckon George (Wardlaw) can do a couple of years with the roos, then come join us (the club he loves).
All assuming the roos do take Wardlaw and Sheezal.
Re: 2022 AFL Draft
The thing that concerns me about Phillipou is how they describe him as super confident.
Horne-Francis had a similar description.
Otherwise Tsatas seems the one.

Re: 2022 AFL Draft
I have this feeling it may not happen. I hope I'm wrong in this case but you know this club and its certainties. Fingers crossed.
Nothing usually happens until something happens.
